Refund Policy
Effective date: June 10, 2026
Because MistyMinds provides custom professional services and reserves development capacity for each client, payments generally compensate for time, work performed, and capacity committed to the project.
1. Deposits and milestone payments
Deposits secure project capacity and fund discovery, planning, and initial work. Once work begins, deposits are non-refundable. Milestone payments become non-refundable when the corresponding work is completed, delivered, or approved.
2. Cancellation before work begins
If you cancel in writing before work begins, we may refund amounts paid minus payment-processing fees and any non-cancelable costs already incurred. A scheduled project start or completed discovery activity means work has begun.
3. Cancellation after work begins
If a project is canceled after work begins, you are responsible for completed work, reserved capacity, approved milestones, and third-party expenses. If payments exceed those amounts, we will refund the remaining balance after final accounting.
4. Scope changes and dissatisfaction
A change in business direction, preference, funding, or project scope does not by itself qualify for a refund. We will first use the revision process in the project agreement to address work that does not match the approved requirements.
5. Third-party charges
Domain, hosting, software, API, app store, payment-processing, and other third-party charges are governed by the provider’s terms and are not refundable by MistyMinds.
6. How to request a review
Submit a refund or billing concern promptly by calling (616) 931-0595. Include the project name, invoice number, amount in question, and reason for the request. We will review the project record and respond within 10 business days.
7. Project agreements
If an accepted proposal, statement of work, or other written project agreement includes different cancellation or refund terms, those project-specific terms control.
